The Norm Game on a Model Network: A Critical Line
نویسندگان
چکیده
The norm game (NG) introduced by Robert Axelrod is a convenient frame to disccuss the time evolution of the level of preserving norms in social systems. Recently NG was formulated in terms of a social contagion on a model social network with two stable states: defectors or punishers. Here we calculate the critical line between these states on the plane of parameters, which measure the severities of punishing and of being punished. We show also that the position of this line is more susceptible to the amount of agents who always punish and never defect, than to those who always defect and never punish. The process is discussed in the context of the statistical data on crimes in some European countries close to Wroc law-the place of this Conference-around 1990.

A decentralized multi-level leader-follower game for network design of a competitive supply chain
This paper develops a decentralized leader-follower game for network design of a competitive supply chain problem in which a new chain as the leader enters a market with one existing supply chain as a follower. Both chains produce an identical product, customer demand is inelastic and customer utility function is based on Huff gravity-based model. The leader wants to shape his network and set a...
متن کاملCooperative network flow problem with pricing decisions and allocation of benefits: A game theory approach
Several real problems in telecommunication, transportation, and distribution industries can be well analyzed by network flow models. In revenue management, pricing plays a primary role which increases the profit generated from a limited supply of assets. Pricing decision directly affects the amount of service or product demand. Hence, in traditional maximum flow problem, we assume that the dema...
متن کاملModeling Cooperation between Nodes in Wireless Networks by APD Game
Cooperation is the foundation of many protocols in wireless networks. Without cooperation, the performance of a network significantly decreases. Hence, all nodes in traditional networks are required to cooperate with each other. In this paper, instead of traditional networks, a network of rational and autonomous nodes is considered, which means that each node itself can decide whe...
متن کاملCalculation of the Efficiency of Two-Stage Network Structures with Additional Inputs to the Second Stage by SBM Approach: A Case Study on Credit Branches of an Iranian State Bank in Guilan Province
Many studies have been conducted to determine the efficiency of two-stage network structures in the recent years. The two-stage network with additional inputs to the second stage, in which the second stage is independent of the first stage are one of these structures. Thus, there is a need for a model capable of calculating the efficiency of two-stage structures as well as efficiency of each st...
متن کاملAnalyzing the Interaction between the Central Bank and the Plan and Budget Organization (A Case Study of Iran Using Game Theory)
The central bank is working to reform the structure of the banking system to bring the banking network in line with world standards. The banking network should strive to adapt itself to the modern world in terms of technology, procedures, and operations. The main prerequisite for this is central bank independence and structural reform of the country's budget. In the current situation, the Centr...
